"Superman: Immortal" is an illustration by Alex Ross celebrating the interminable Superman. Rocketed from his doomed planet of Krypton to Earth, Superman, AKA Kal-El, is discovered and raised by loving parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent. As he grows, Superman, AKA Clark Kent, discovers his superhuman powers and is taught to use them to help others. Keeping his powers secret, Clark becomes the mild mannered reporter from Metropolis, who in the flash of an eye becomes Superman, the protector of mankind and Earth's greatest hero!
