Signed Letter announcing candidacy for Colorado's Congressional District
$675.00 Unframed

Born in 1931, he was the Command Module pilot on Apollo 13 in April of 1970. In 1982 he chose to run as a congressman for the state of Colorado and was elected. Unfortunately, Jack died without ever taking office. This letter was sent out on February 19, 1982 to announce Mr. Swigert's candidacy for the Congressional office. This letter is signed twice, once at the formal closing, and another on a short note at the beginning of the letter. Small water stain on first page, both pages have been preserved and matted within a poster of the earth, symbolic of not only his view while on Apollo 13, but perhaps also of the view he has now.
